This large Tribeca loft had a row of cast iron columns running from front to back, supporting a large heavy timber girder. We stripped the columns and built frames of steel tubing at each column, creating a circulation spine that passes underneath the frames. The frames set up a rhythm that organizes the rooms opening off the spine.
