with Bryce DiNunno, Architect
Two adjacent loft buildings in the Tribeca East Historic District, built of stone, cast iron, and brick in 1862 and 1881, were combined and converted into an eleven-unit residential condominium. Since the floor levels of the two buildings did not align, the rear wall of 79 White Street was rebuilt and most of its floors were reframed. New skylit penthouses with dramatic, double-height spaces were added to both buildings. PB+A prepared the project’s construction drawings, completed the successful application to the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission for a Certificate of Appropriateness, and designed the lobby.
